the first wandering goat dinner has come and gone...and it was a blast! i was very happy with the way things turned out, especially after some of the curve balls that were thrown during the days leading up to it. almost like being on a television show where the producers try their very best to f@#k with the chefs over and over again to see if they can hang. interesting...

this is absolutely delicious and can be enjoyed year round though is nice and refreshing in the summer. i just have to warn you, that though it tastes like pure pineapple juice, it is really pure vodka. lets just say that the night we dove into this bottle wound up to be one crazy night, or so i was told.

celery root, also known as celeriac, may be ugly on the outside but the inside has a beautifully delicate celery flavor that is great raw in salads or cooked in soups and purees. because it is a root, it begins its season in the summer but is available through the fall and winter as well. next time you see this brain like looking veg, just grab one and give it a try.
