chopping block fun…

last night was my second class at the chopping block downtown and i had a blast!  if you have never been to the chopping block, i highly recommend signing up for a class or getting a group of friends together for a private event.  shelley, the owner, and the rest of her staff, are inviting and talented and you will have a blast!!

we had a group of about fifty last night and as far as i could tell, good times were had by all.  i was a bit under the weather after a long weekend of wedding cooking and dancing, so who knows what came out of my fried-brain mouth.  especially after a couple of glasses of wine smile

cooking demos were something that used to scare the crap out of me to be perfectly honest, though now i just seem to have a good time.  as i mentioned at the start of class, after having your life all over the internet, nothing is really too private for me to share anymore.  just have to ask the right questions…

what is great about classes at the chopping block is that so many guests are excited to learn about food!!!  of course i tend to go off on some long tangent involving a random story about a dead pig by my parents pool or about doing shots with mario batali, but hopefully i eventually get the answers in there as well.  all the while we got to eat some tasty (i think) food and sip on some beautiful wines.  not a bad way to spend an evening.

thank you to everyone who attended either class that i was the guest chef of and hope you will continue to come to various events with me as well as various classes at the chopping block!
