got buttons? whole foods: lincoln park does!

chicago is a city full of some the best, most supportive people anywhere. ever since we started tweeting about our crazy goat buttons, the response has been great. we’re having so much fun!

i also know some of you came to green city market the other day and didn’t see me. i was there shopping for a bit, early, and hopped along on my merry way before you got there i’m guessing. but like i said before, i’ll be there tomorrow morning at 11:30 with food and buttons. like, with an actual table!

but if you can’t make it to the market but are dying to get your hands on a button, we’ve made it pretty easy to get one…

a year ago whole foods opened one of the coolest markets i’ve ever seen on the river in lincoln park, which has given local farmers and artisan food shops a major outlet to sell their product. we all know how giddy i get over the local foodstuffs, so it made a heck of a lot of sense to team up with team up them on their birthday and support local farmers and businesses at the same time. so, starting monday, if you buy local, you get a button!

here’s your shopping list:

midwest pork products
local asparagus
milk & honey granola
sunshine farms goat milk
prairie fruits farm cheese
carr valley applewood smoked cheddar
three floyds beer
half acre beer

when you get to the store, which is at 1550 n. kingsbury st., just go to the customer service desk and ask for the list. then, when you’re heading out, check back in to the same desk to get your button! easy peazy!

we’ll be running this at the market for five days, beginning monday the 17th and ending friday the 21st, so get on it!

and, of course, i’ll be with the common threads at the 61st market on the 22nd. buying a cookbook there scores you extra buttons!

hope to see you tomorrow, and buy local!
