i think the most exciting part about going to new york was cooking with a great chef friend that i have only cooked with back in chicago. missy robbins is a chef that i met when i was working at scylla and was just getting my feet wet. i remember being a bit intimidated by her at the “girl food dinner” when we were cooking together and she was the chef de cuisine at one of the best restaurants in the city, spiaggia. now she has moved on to NYC and is cooking amazing food at two a voce spots in the city. we were lucky enough to get to spend a day in her kitchen and help with a good cause once again. thank you to missy, hilary and the rest of the team at a voce. and thank you for letting us co-host your first beer dinner! greg hall had it right when he asked the guests “what is the difference between wine dinners and beer dinners?” ...“beer dinners are fun”. yes indeed.
