supper at steph’s

it’s official.  i think i have lost my mind. 

as i am writing this, i am gazing around my living room:  with a metro rack of cook books; a dvd rack of sex in the city, little house on the prarie, and felicity;  a collection of yoda toys including my lego yoda that is creepily staring at me right now;  ten or so paintings leaning against the wall since i pretend not to be handy enough to hang them; and blinds that i just broke while trying to hide from the rain. not exactly ready for company.

alas, i will have to get my ass in gear when i get back from aspen next week as “supper at steph’s” kicks off on june 26!

i’ve got a new dining room table to fill with eight guests. i’m ready to eat a family style dinner with food from the market, bourbon from my barrel, wine from walla walla, and beer brewed by my friend jared rouben of goose island.  i’m also ready to help put a small dent in the 500K we are hoping to raise this year to benefit share our strength, an organization aiming to end childhood hunger in the US by 2015.  (click here to go to their website for more information).
