the girl, the guido and the greaser: at it again!

so here’s the thing. i’m just not very good at sticking to my guns when i say we’re done and putting an end to the wandering goat dinner thing. i’m really not. which means, yes, the goat isn’t finished wandering just yet…

tentori, rick gresh and i had so much fun at our veal dinner a few weeks ago, we’ve decided to team up in the kitchen once again—only this time, we’re changing it up and working with beautiful farm raised rabbits from swan creek farm in bronson, michigan.

swan creek raises pigs, rabbits and chickens which you’ll find all over the city in kitchens helmed by farm conscious chefs—but we’re sticking to wabbits!  whether you followed along on twitter or partied with us at logan square kitchen, you know that for the veal dinner each chef chose a different part of the calf, in the name of sustainability and head-to-tail eating. this time around? all bets are off! anything is fair game, which will be such a great dynamic when it comes down to the different directions we’ll go—all cooking the same protein, but in our own whimsical ways!

ramps and green garlic again made an appearance last time around, but maybe some spring onions and hopefully some local asparagus will pop up on our menu, too.  this time of year, when spring is in full effect, there’s so much local produce to play with.

and a huge thanks needs to go out to logan square kitchen, up on milkwaukee just south of fullerton, who will once again be opening their doors for our dinner!  it’s the perfect space for our farm to table dinners since zine, the owner, built a space ‘green’ and her kitchen is energy efficient and follows environmentally friendly practices.

when:  tuesday may 4th
where:  logan square kitchen, 2333 north milkwaukee
time:  6:30pm
pay to play: $125

passed hors d’oeuvres served with special cocktail followed by 4 course dinner: a course from each chef, then a special dessert from jessie oloroso of black dog gelato. and though plenty of libations will be on hand for all, logan square kitchen is more than happy to allow our friends to bring in some of their own stash of wine, beer (last time around we had someone drinking dark lord!), and, if you’re the kind of guy who rolls with a briefcase of tequila, tequila!

so be ready, because tickets go on sale this tuesday! as always, twitter is the place to be for updates and info…
