so we at the goat have to say, we're humbled by the support you've given us with our thanksgiving fundraiser. for several weeks we've been selling limited edition goat t-shirts and buttons (because a goat in a turkey costume is the coolest thing ever), the proceeds of which have made it possible for us to host a thanksgiving feast for families in need, in conjunction with common threads. and, as promised, we've raffled off numbers for the ten turkeys donated to us by stewards of the land. these birds are local, raised by family farms, which i really think is such an awesome prize. there really aren't too many people who will be cooking local birds this thanksgiving—especially those straight from the farmers. and the birds are huge!!

eater recently asked for nominees for their first ever 'eater awards,' and yesterday they grouped the top nominees within four categories and opened the floodgates for voters to decide the top from each category. the goat is amazingly associated with all four of these categories...
