one of my favorite childhood food memories is of watching the yorkshire pudding rise in the oven through the glass window. i thought it was magic smile turns out is is just a very simple recipe that tastes great next to any roast with gravy or a holiday turkey. this version involves bacon because, well, bacon is just tasty.

roasted cauliflower...this recipe has been around since the week before we opened the goat...when somehow pickled peppers, pine nuts and parmesan and a hint of fresh mint seemed to fit well with sauteed cauliflower...and now it is a goat favorite. great side dish for the holidays!

green bean casserole: childhood favorite. comfort food. mushroom and crunchy onion goodness with green beans. whatever you want to call it, the holidays are not the same without green bean casserole. and it is beyond tasty when you take a few minutes more to make your own mushroom soup.

i am not gonna lie, or will get coal in my stocking smile... i have never been much of an eggnog drinker. but when we developed this bourbon eggnog recipe for our book signing at whole foods, i was converted. it is like bourbon ice cream melted and frothed. yummmmmmm. i think if i leave a glass of this for santa, i will be a happy girl on christmas morning.
